Why did I become a celebrant?

My wife and I had our own celebrant-led wedding ceremony in 2021 - I loved having the freedom to create a ceremony that really represented us, in a place that felt very special to us - the magical Isle of Skye.

I want to share the joy and calm that we experienced on our wedding day; when planning our wedding, it took us a long time to find suppliers that felt like the right vibe for us, so I love being part of shaping supportive and nurturing experiences for others, who are planning their wedding today. 

What do I love most about weddings?

For me, meaningful rituals are the most beautiful part of a wedding. I love handfasting and intuition-led crystal rituals, and honestly - any ritual which makes a couple feel special, celebrated and comfortable is amazing.

I am also passionate about crafting ceremonies which are infused with a couple's spiritual beliefs and practices, curating uplifting, affirming and meaningful weddings, which feel both cosy and empowering.

What are my credentials?

I completed my celebrant training and accreditation with the Celebrant Circle, and follow their professional Code of Conduct, and I am fortunate to be recommended by Alt Wedding Fair, Dark Wedding Collective, For Conscious Couples, The LGBTQ+ Friendly Directory, and the Celebrant Circle.

I am committed to uplifting fellow LGBTQ+ humans, and have completed training with Mermaids, Stonewall, LGBT Foundation and Amnesty International to ensure I am able to support you to the best of my ability.

Sustainability, and being as planet-friendly as I can, is very important to me, and so I am a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance, and I am certified as Carbon Literate.

I have been fortunate to have articles about wedding rituals published in Witches Magazine, Pagans of the North, and Dreamlovers Magazine, as well as a styled shoot that I co-organised in Quirky Weddings Magazine ♡

A little bit more about me...

♥︎ I am studying for my masters degree in Mindfulness, following on from qualifications in Religion and Spirituality, with a great love for alternative spiritualities and beliefs.

♥︎ My previous work has included teaching, writing, charity work, and youth work.

♥︎ I love exploring the UK's magical islands with my wife (Liv) and our sausage dogs (Norman and Klaus), in our TentBox.

♥︎ I hold my Reiki Level 2 qualification, and a certificate in crystal healing.

♥︎ I am an Aquarius sun, Capricorn moon & Capricorn rising, who loves tarot, crystals and finding magic in every day.
