Why did I become a celebrant?

My wife and I had our own celebrant-led wedding ceremony in 2021 - I loved having the freedom to create a ceremony that really represented us, in a place that felt very special to us. Our ceremony took place on a stormy beach on the Isle of Skye, with our nearest and dearest (including our two dachshunds, Norman & Klaus), and then we went back to a cosy little cottage and ate amazing food to celebrate!

I want to share the joy and calm that we experienced on our wedding day. When planning our wedding, it took us a long time to find suppliers that felt like the right vibe for us, so I love being part of shaping supportive and nurturing experiences for others, who are planning their weddings today. 

What are my credentials?

I completed my celebrant training and accreditation with the Celebrant Circle, and follow their professional Code of Conduct. I am recognised as an LGBTQ+ inclusive wedding supplier by Rebel Love, and recommend by MNT, Alt Wedding Fair, Dark Enchanted and For Conscious Couples.

Sustainability, and being as planet-friendly as I can, is very important to me, and so I am a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance, and I am certified as Carbon Literate.

 
I'm also a recommended supplier at some very special venues like Stables Wedding Farm, The Portico Library & Dovestone Park.

A little bit more about me...

♥︎ I am studying for my masters degree and teaching qualification in Mindfulness.

♥︎ My previous work has included teaching, writing, charity work, and youth work.

♥︎ I love exploring the UK's magical islands with my wife (Liv) and our sausage dogs (Norman and Klaus), in our TentBox.

♥︎ I am an Aquarius sun, Capricorn moon & Capricorn rising, who loves tarot, crystals and finding magic in every day.
